My name is Jason Beckerleg. I started COLOR OF SOUND out of my love for two things: art and music. My fascination is the space where these two things collide. COLOR OF SOUND is a creative outlet for me. It’s both a design shop and a blog, focused on music and the visual culture that surrounds it. I can’t imagine one without the other.
Before I became a graphic designer I worked in record stores for several years. During that time I became fascinated as much by the album covers as the music I was selling. Being a longtime record collector and vinyl enthusiast, I create designs that I can envision being displayed in someone’s listening room or above their turntable. My designs can be found on a variety of high-quality items, including prints, coffee mugs, t-shirts and more.
